Review of Baby Gramps
Imagine old-time mountain folk music combined with the deep pitch of Tuvan throat singing, and you’ve got Baby Gramps—a scraggly bearded, backwoodsy musician with a zany sense of humor who can play the guitar and sing like no one you’ve heard before. Baby Gramps can make the exact same sound as a didgeridoo using just his raspy vocal chords, which are an instrument all on their own. Known by some as the “The Salvador Dali of Folk Music,” Baby Gramps is a beast on his antique, steel string guitar. And with quick-pickin’ singer/songwriter Jayme Kelly Curtis in tow, this is one Americana showcase you don’t want to miss.
